Based in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Ojiibikan is an Anishinaabe-led organization focused on the regeneration of land, language, and land-based practices in order to ensure a healthy and vibrant future for the land and the people.

About Us

Gidizhitwaawininaan - Gidinwewininaan - Gidaakiiminaang

We are making space for Anishinaabeg to engage in harvests, ceremonies, and land-based learning while picking up our collective responsibility to take good care for the land and the water. 

Vision

We envision a future where Anishinaabe people have full freedom and autonomy to practice our ways of life, speak the Anishinaabe language, and reclaim our responsibilities to care for our ancestral homelands and waters.

Weshki-bimaadizijig- Helping young Anishinaabe identify and pursue their life paths.

Gidizhitwaawininaan- Uplifting our Anishinaabe cultural practices including food ways, medicine ways, and ceremony.
