Our Story

Nuchatlaht Tribe is based on the west coast of Vancouver Island, where they are working to reclaim their homeland. The nation is actively involved in revitalizing their culture through song, oral history, and language work.

In July 2025, Nuchatlaht hosted a family and culture camp on their recently-reclaimed land. The gathering brought together nation members along with CORR partners from Aotearoa and Hawai'i. The camp provided opportunities to engage in learning though a variety of activities, including fishing, cedar weaving, and kelp harvesting.
